Payments

How do I start accepting payments?

Open Settings then Payments and click "Set up with Stripe". You'll verify your business identity and connect a bank account through Stripe. Setup takes about 5 minutes if you have your EIN or SSN and bank details ready.

How long does it take to get paid?

After a customer pays, Stripe transfers the money to your bank on a 2-day rolling schedule by default. You can adjust the payout schedule in your Stripe Express dashboard.

What does it cost?

Stripe charges 2.9% plus $0.30 per card transaction in the United States. Nudge doesn't add a fee on top. There are no monthly fees and no fees on quotes that go unpaid.

Who handles refunds, disputes, and taxes?

You do. Refunds are issued from your Stripe Express dashboard. Stripe emails you when a dispute is filed and you respond there with evidence. Sales tax is yours to calculate, collect, and remit; include it as a line item on the quote if applicable.

What does my customer see when they pay?

After signing, the customer sees a Pay Now button on the same page. Tapping it opens a Stripe-hosted checkout for the full quote amount. When the payment succeeds, both you and the customer get a receipt by email, and the quote in your portal flips to Paid.

Can my customer pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay?

Yes. The right option appears automatically based on the customer's device. Cards work everywhere.
